The department offers three year full-time Diploma Programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering under self-supporting scheme. It aims to impart high quality education to the students and train them to meet the ever changing needs of industry. The laboratories are very well-equipped with the state of equipment.
The curriculum has been framed based on the feedback received from leading academicians and industrialists. The following core subjects are taught to students:

Students undergo two weeks of industrial training during III, IV and V term of study. Guest lectures are organised periodically by inviting experts from industry.

Students are trained in computer hardware servicing and networking, so as to get better placement opportunities.
Steps have been initiated for the establishment of VLSI and Embedded Systems Laboratories to impart additional inputs to the students in emerging areas.
