Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment Awareness program in RITS Today Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment awareness program was organized by Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited in Radharaman Institute of Technology and Science. Dr Surendra Bajpai, Head Energy Management Cell and Mr Pulkit Khosla from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited discussed about objectives of Mission LiFE.
‘Mission Life’ was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the UN Climate Change and launched on October 20, 2022. It is envisioned to mobilise at least one billion Indians and other global citizens to take individual and collective action for protecting and preserving the environment in the period 2022 to 2027.
Dr Bajpai also discussed about harmful effects of single-use plastic; knowledge about sustainable modes of transportation such as bicycles, e-bikes, e-cars; consciousness about wastage of water; knowledge about environment related labels, consumption habits and making them greener - assessing personal carbon footprint; use of natural energy etc.
RGI Group Director Dr P.K Lahiri also motivated the audience and told how to save environment and our planet. More than 150 students and faculties of RITS participated in the program.
