समुद्र की सतह से तेल हटाएगी मशीन आईआईटी-कानपुर में आयोजित (28 से 29 जनवरी तक) मॉडल एक्जिबिशन में राधारमण इंस्टीट्यूट के स्टूडेंट्स का मॉडल प्रदर्शित टीम : यूसुफ अली, टोजो थॉमस, विपुल शर्मा, देवेन्द्र यादव (बाएं से)। सिटी रिपोर्टर . समुद्र में डूबने वाले जहाजों से सतह पर फैला तेल हटाने के लिए शहर के स्टूडेंट्स ने एक मॉडल बनाया है, जिसे हाल ही में आईआईटी-कानपुर में हुई एक्जिबिशन 'स्ट्राइव' में प्रदर्शित किया गया। राधारमण इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ रिसर्च एंड टेक्नालोजी के बीई फाइनल ईयर के मैकेनिकल ब्रांच के 4 स्टूडेंट्स ने यह मशीन बनाई है। एक्जिबिशन में हिस्सा लेने के लिए स्टूडेंट्स ने ऑनलाइन एंट्री की थी। इसमें कुल 25 मॉडल प्रदर्शित किए गए। ऐसे काम करती है मशीन : इस मशीन के ऊपरी हिस्से में एक सामान्य फेब्रिक को केमिकली ट्रीट कर ऐसा बनाया गया है, जिसमें से छनकर पानी तो बाहर निकल जाता है लेकिन तेल नहीं निकल पाता है। इसमें कपड़े का उपयोग किया गया है, जिसे गोल काटकर एक पिस्टल से जोड़ा गया है। यह सिलेंडर के अंदर रॉड से अप-डाउन मूव होता है। यहां पिस्टल और स्लीव रॉड चार केम (बैकेलाइट मटेरियल से बना एक यंत्र) से जुड़े होते हैं। जैसे ही इसमें इलेक्ट्रिक करंट प्रवाहित होता है। केम घूमते हैं और इससे स्लीव रॉड जब नीचे जाती हैं तो पिस्टल ऊपर जाता है। रॉड ऊपर जाती है तो पिस्टल नीचे जाता है। ऐसे में पिस्टल से जुड़ा गोलाकार कपड़े का बीच का हिस्सा छाते की तरह बंद होता और खुलता है। जब यह बंद होता है तो इसमें समुद्र का पानी और तेल भर जाता है। पानी छनकर निकल जाएगा और तेल इसी बीच के हिस्से से जुड़े सिलेंडर में इकट्ठा होता जाएगा। इस मॉडल में बैलून लगाकर समुद्र की सतह पर तैराया जा सकता है और पानी को फिल्टर करने की यह प्रक्रिया चलती रहेगी। मॉडल में मोटर भी लगी है जिसमें स्पीड कंट्रोलर लगा है। जरूरत के मुताबिक इसमें समानांतर और मशीनें जोड़कर ऊर्जा की खपत घटाई जा सकती है।
